Seriously, GTFO.
I mean, I love LOVE Datsun Roadsters but this is so far in ‘crack pipe’ territory that it almost comes back into ‘nice price’ land. Nah, that price is just f-ing stupid.

This is the equivalent of using the “make me move” pricing feature on Zillow. You have no intention of selling, but if someone really wants to pay that much, you’d be a fool not to.

I took a peek at his other items for sale. There are two other items (three in total), and they’re all 4-wheeled things.
I’m thinking you’re right. Or... his “tech startup” went under (guessing by the item’s location - Pablo Alto). Or major coke habit. Probably the last one...

I know, right?
Last time a Datsun Roadster made headlines was a few years ago when one sold at auction around $50k. It was a full nut-and-bolt restoration but people thought the buyer was stupid back then.

I knew a guy 35 yrs ago in Elizabeth City, NC that had 3. If he is still around he could get some good coin for those. He was already snagging them, knew the rarity then. He lived by the old closed-up Web drive-in theatre near the Coast Guard air station.

I’ve been watching Roadster prices for about 10 years. You could get a nice one for about $10k or so. Then the entire collector car market went nuts and they were in the asking range of $20k-$30k (also thanks to one that sold at auction for $50k). Now they seem to be back at more terrestrial prices for the time being.
